Web Scavenger Hunt

As a fun way to introduce you to search engines, you are asked to go on a Frantic Internet Scavenger Hunt (GO FISH). In teams, please use at least three different search engines to find the following items:

Another school's web site that contains published student projects
The local weather forecast and 5 day outlook
The address of someone with either your whole or last name
A movie trailer that you want to see and then view it online
A web site that contains pertinent information about a discipline, content area, or grade level that interests you
A lesson plan from ERIC that you can use
A recipe for your favorite dish
A page that tells you about the site of your dream vacation (at least one picture must be included)
A restaurant/pub that you'd like to visit (if you produce the menu, you'll get one bonus point)
A page for a manufacturer or retailer of something you are planning to buy

Make sure you divide the above items equitably. Once finished, you must then use your Web Forum to share your newfound knowledge with the rest of the class. In your forum message, please include your team number, individual team members' names, and both the web site's name and URL that each team member found. (5 points) Failure to include all required information will result in total or partial loss of points for each team member. Ahem. Are we having fun yet???
